this circuit board is from a cheap handheld game. i turned it into a sort of oscillating synth, buzzy sounding with a potentiometer to control the buzzing.
anyhow, there is a trace i discovered. if i jump a wire between a resistor and touch the traces (circled in the illustration), each trace makes a different sound!
well, i started thinking, could i connect sensors to these and then connect a keyboard, or pads?
or what about a rotory switch between the resistor and these?
what are you opinions?
gotta love the big black blob! ;D
there is an annoying starup song too....has anybody ever had good results dissabling these?
If it makes different tones, than I would think you could make a keyboard for it. You may have to do a momentary pushbutton keyboard though.
other ideas include a rotory switch, or a pen tool connected to the resistor. any other ideas?
