Title: lunatic fringe...
Post by: jamiewoody on March 18, 2010, 02:47:02 PM
lunatic fringe is what i have decided to name my latest synth...sort of based on the gazalla "lumivox", but as i look at his drawing, my components are in totally different places! i am sure his is better though! ;-)

it is a 555 timer, a small handful of resistors and caps, and 3 photo resistors, strategically placed. with the three photo resistors, you get a variety of sounds, depending on the quality and quantity of light in it's environment.

it is "breadboarded" at the moment. i would like to come up with a creative way to package this one, something weird! it would be cool if the photoresistors could be kind of hidden.

problems ironed out and aside, it works pretty good! 3 photoresistors, played by waving your hands around the top of the box! very weird...very theramin like!
