YO!
been a while since i posted but im after a little bit o the owd info from you lovely peeps on here!
ive been trying like foook to get my hands on a Synare (any model... preferably the SX3) but can i helll as like get hold of one... seem to have gone the wey of leprachauns and rocking horse shit... ahwell!
i have now been reliably informed about a kit called something along the lines of....
"Synare Synth DIY KIT- drum brain DS7 sensor"
and told if i can get my hands on one o dees then i could mek a fairly decent attempt at building a synare!
all i can seem to find online is dead links to old ebay auctions... does anybody know where i could source such a kit? or indeed maybes has a kit (built or unbuilt) that they no longer use?
pleaseplease help if ya can! ... that is all!
Mucho thankyous!
;D
coron ds7 kits you can order from papareil, france
but maybe that's another drumsynth.. very nice anyway
with cv/gate makes a nice monophonic fm synth
good luck !
ahhh i shall check it out... jus a google search shud do it ya reckon? id seen the word "coron" on a similar listing so i think itll be quite similar!
nice one cheers!
yeah, that Synare thing is definately a DS7 clone by the look of it, its even got the same pot layout. If this is the thing you're talking about http://isistowers.blogspot.com/2010/11/percussive-synthesiser-mpc-part-1.html (http://isistowers.blogspot.com/2010/11/percussive-synthesiser-mpc-part-1.html)
You can get a pcb here http://m.bareille.free.fr/ds7clone/ds7.htm (http://m.bareille.free.fr/ds7clone/ds7.htm)
cheers paul.. yeah i think im going to have to mek do wi one of them... they do seem v similar if not exactly t same... similar noises n tht...
im thinking i may have to build one into some form of round tin/box/drum ... i do like that UFO appeal of the original synares...
good hustle on the replys fellahs!

wicked little thing :) more nice sound than simmons sds imo
if you add CV input, it will work fine in tune with the korg system (Hz/V)
i use it allmost every tune.. noisegate is handy tough ;)
...update! sourced one of them kits...
going to use 2 frying pans back to back and a yamaha 10" drum pad to make the ufo shaped beauty! =D
