Title: Casio VL-Tone
Post by: strikemedown on September 16, 2008, 11:13:23 PM
I bought a VL-Tone off ebay cheaply recently, its in a state and wont turn on but it was cheap, so i dosent really matter if its well and truly fried. I was wondering if anyone could give me any helpful advice about how i would go about searching for the reason it wont turn on.  It looks like it would be fun to bend. Also, sorry to ask, but, what other keyboards would be good for me to bend, i've seen and heard of loads of yamaha and casios and the obvious 80's toys being bent but i was wondering if theres anything i'm missing. Thanks!

Check the obvious stuff first.  Are both wires to the battery compartment connected?  Is there any corrosion in the battery compartment?.  I had one that powered on but didn't make any sound, and there turned out to be a trimmer that needed to be turned up for anything to come through the speaker.
