another silly question (soz..)
is there the slightest chance of getting a thing like this to start with MIDI?
i have no idea how one would start communicating with this or if it has a
data format one could address, as with a sysex device.
other models in the series have MIDI, and can therefore start playback,
and presumably record, with MIDI.

playback start would be a 0/1 switch somewhere on an address, and so
would record start. getting it to read/respond to a start/stop(/continue?)
could make it quite a fun gadget (although i now discover it deals with a type
of mp3/compressed thing)
what do you think? (for the sake of argument...)

ok, no reply/interest so far, so i'm bumping it (gonna go off on a
little research tip now...0

thjs thing is cool. just got it's first proper try-out today, and it is
seamless in operation, tiny, runs on batteries, and has SD card
memory and USB data transfer...#almost# perfect...it did a
recording with hardly any battery power left, and is very easy
to use.

i hold little hope ;) of anyone coming up with a spot of code cracking
on this one, but you never know..i mean, i'd be happy to arm recording
manually and let midi playback trigger the other button. it clocks the
bars and beats perfectly, even though it is obviously not in sync.
one for the wishlist anyway. i need to do a bit of research on the BR
range, since there is a wide variety in spec, with some offering MIDI etc.

edit: ok, so: maybe i could record a click track on one of the tracks...er..
send that to a tapesync in of a tr626 and slave everything else to that!!!
mmm, not convinced though...it only has one output and you want that
to monitor thru...back to the earlier idea...still looking for info...('good luck')
