Here's the first pictures of my new project, an SA-1.  I may do a little more detail painting on the case, but its mostly done.  I'll try and upload some audio after the weekend...

heh heh heh, looks like one of those strange barbie keyboards you can get.

I've often wondered with paintjobs like this, how do you remember what all the buttons do?
i am not paid to listen to this drivel, you are a terminal fool

Well, regarding the buttons, I actually have now labelled them, just hadn't done that yet when I posted the pic, realized after a couple days that I should probably label everything, this is my first painted project.  I keep meaning to get the audio online, but have only been able to get online at work recently, so hopefully once I get my internet at home back this week, I'll get that online.  I've also added another bend to it as well.

hey man, diggin the barbie paint job.  What kinda paints did u use to do this??  Also did u need any kinda of undercoat or anything, or did the paints just go straight over the black??

beatpoet

I put down a white base coat(Krylon Fusion) first, then used some metallic blue model paint for the final coat, its looks a bit more metallic in natural light.  I like the Krylon Fusion paints, but can only seem to find them in basic colors in my area, so I've been using the Testers model paint for most of my projects.

SineHacker

but how will you find the "computer sound" voice? you need to hear that everytime you switch the sa-1 on
yum, plastic sinewaves
