touch the glass bowl, and see a static charge!

i was wondering if anybody considered building some sort of lfo or theramin circuit, with a sort of bulb which would act like a tesla lamp. perhaps, the tesla lamp could also be a body contact?

i am not even sure how this would work...purely conceptual.

but, wouldn't it look cool?!! (perhaps, sound cool too?!).

tesla lamp? Do you mean plasma ball?
i am not paid to listen to this drivel, you are a terminal fool

yeah, it appears to be known as a plasma lamp.

a tesla invention, also known as the "jacob's ladder". (ever seen the movie "powder"?!).

like i said, purely conceptual. i'm not sure how it would work. i understand how "body contacts" work, though i have not yet tried it.

the concept: a touch sensitive synth (photo resistor based, perhaps), displaying a glass ball, which would "well up" a visual static charge when played.

all i know is that you can't mess with the insides of a plasma ball..
there's some kind of gas in there under very low pressure (much like a lightbulb, i presume).

so whatever you want to do to it, it's most likely to go on the outside.
