hey, ive got to ask, where did you get that "loa" drum toy? ive never seen one like it. i've seen that drum circuit in other toy keyboards. you can actually do quite a bit more with it. you should hang on to that one :)

Cool, so I should do some more work on it you think? I got it from a friend here in Stockholm.. It has been his son's... I love the sounds without the bends too!

noystoise

yes definitely. i think there are 4 resistors and 3 capacitors in there that shape the envelopes of the drum sounds on the rhythm circuit. you can wire in potentiometers to stretch or shorten the envelopes. could you post a picture of the black blob chip? there are at least tow variations that i know of. this is one i did a while ago.

Damn!  :D I was pretty happy with mine 'till I saw yours, Noystoise! Really cool! Maybe you could give me some advice? I'm obviously not very good yet... Posting a picture soon.
I really liked the other stuff on your blogg too!
Salut!

was this what you meant?

noystoise

yeah, totally. yours is different from the two i have come across, but im sure the circuit is pretty similar. i dont know your particular circuit. this is a drawing from my circuit that i did a couple years ago.

i think all i did was replace the 39k, 10k, and 22k resistors with 50k pots, and the 47k with a 100k pot. your resistor values may be different. it shouldnt be that hard to figure out though. let me know how it goes.

I've just moved this thread to the Toys section and edited the title as it seems t now have some useful bending information rather than just being some demos.
i am not paid to listen to this drivel, you are a terminal fool

Cool! And thanks! I will let you know, but it may take a while... But I will try to work on it some more soon! Cheers!
