just wondering what others are doing with these. i have made 2 now. well, and and 1/2, as the one i built tonight is not yet in a case, but i digress.

this one i made will have a body contact (something i don't think i have seen on these yet, but i discovered a good one!). i have some cool tin fossel watch boxes with '50s graphics i think i will use. i am still trying to discover groovy boxes to put these in.

i think this one is an improvement on my last one, as my soldering is getting a little neater with practice.

If it uses body contacts, I wouldn't put it in tin...

here is mine...simple, a 1/4" jack, a 500k potentiometer and the brass button is the body contact.

the body contact comes off the right pin on the potentiometer.

the first one i built had 3 potentiometers. it seemed to crash more. this one only crashes if the potentiometer is turned all the way down (easy way to turn it off.).

the one i built last night has an led. and i built it into a general foods international coffee tin. i need more of these ! it is the perfect size!

oh, the body contact works fine.

i bult another one...these things are addictive, i can't stop making them! lol!

the only difference this time is an added LED, and of course, the recycled VHS box.  i like using these kind of boxes, they drill easy are durable, and are comfortable to hold while playing!

i got a solderless breadboard in the mail yesterday, so now i can do some prototyping before i solder with wreckless abandon! lol!

i put together another APC on that, and did some bending with resistors, trying different ones. i was able to increase the gain of the waveform, which was cool! i am going to have fun with this!  ;)

okay....this one i love enough to sell my other versions of this off!

note the 4 body contacts, which can be played like "drum pads", or the longer you touch them, the deeper the modulation! each contact makes a different sound!

also, with the 3 potentiometers, a much wider pitch range can be reached than previous versions. i don't even know if i would call this an APC!

oh, the switch, wired in series with an LED is power on/off.

the other led blinks to the tap-tempo of the waveform!

Don't you mean parallel?
If at first you don't succeed, stick it through a fuzzbox.

jamiewoody

no, it breaks the positive battery terminal. VCC>switch>led>+battery clip.
