i saw a few electro harmonix micro synths on the web, and ebay i believe, with a keyboard. same thing +KB. is this actually an EH product, or was the keyboard added by a bender? this looks really cool!

i don't forsee a project like this anytime soon, as i haven't been able to afford $400 for one of these as of yet...

Pure speculation, but could it be something like the design linked at the bottom of this page?

If at first you don't succeed, stick it through a fuzzbox.

i don't know, ive never seen the inside of an electro harmonix microsynth.

Well, compare the controls...

You could build that one in the diagram pretty easily.  Don't get hung up on finding exactly the right transistors and opamps.

that is good advice....that site looks good too. i just have to wait until i am NOT dirt poor before i begin another project.

Yes, nice link Gordon, cheers. I've been wondering about filters...

Just recently found out my Dad used to make simple circuits years ago (mostly for aeromodelling applications) and he dug out a few tins full of old caps, transistors, and resistors that might be fun to experiment with, if they're all still ok. Most of them were actually made in the UK! There was also a pair of Sinclaire IC-10's complete with the applications manual which might be fun too.

yeah, my dad, being somewhat of a ham radio operator, used to make circuits, a linear amplifier (which i wish i could find!), etc...he used to also make "tweety birds" as he called them (tone generator triggered by a push button). he had so much broadcasting power, if someone else on the cb radio was annoying, he would squelch them out! lol i'm surprised we never got a knock on the door from the fcc...he broadcasted over neighbor's tv sets, the preacher's pa, etc...

Yeah, you're really not meant to deliberately interfere with other people - even if they are causing interference themselves ;-)

It's probably worth looking at getting an amateur radio licence, if you're interested in electronics and want to learn a bit more.

yeah, i always wanted to start a radio station, operate on am or whatever. but, i don't know if anyone would listen. you know...

Broadcasting over the preacher's PA - now you could have some fun with that!
