mixing two signals from same keyboard: Troubleshooting

hi guys

I'm trying to send the signal from the keyboard section of my CASIO SK 5 via a potentiometer and the rhythm section of the same keyboard via a potentiometer to the same output (new).

I've run the keyboard audio through the Phat Philter Bank and then I thought I'd run it through a potentiometer.

I've tapped the drum sounds from the circuit board, and run them through a pot also.

Then I just add the two signals together?

However there is weird cross talk between the pots because, as you can see in the diagram, the signal can go 'backwards' and thus ground the other signal out?

Thoughts?

solved.  stuck a 10K resistor in series with each audio signal before it mixed at the socket/on the potentiometer's wiper
