does anyone know how?

I want to add a mains socket to my alphabet desk.
it's a 6 volter and eats batteries like a big battery eating machine.

any help will be greatly appreciated as always.

Cheers

A switching power socket wired to the battery terminals and a 6v adapter would probably work fine there.

Make sure you get the switching right or just remove the batteries though as you don't want to be attempting to charge the batteries by accident.
i am not paid to listen to this drivel, you are a terminal fool

That's cool.

I expected to have to get involved with voltage regulators and the like, but this sounds easy enough.

I'll let you know how it all goes  ;D

Is this the same for adding a power socket to any battery powered toy?
