Car Boot Sale

Question for you UK types: What is a car boot sale?  Seems like everyone here is always scoring some unbelievable keyboard from one.  I'm picturing a beat-up grey sedan with a blue driver's side door and a shady guy selling wares out of the trunk.  Am I close?

Sometimes they are great, sometimes you will only find shit.
They have loads of stupid completely unbendable childrens' keyboards

or the cheetah SX16 sampler i got at a car boot sale the other day for nothing as the bunch of hippies who had it were packing up their van to leave and just wanted to shift it to someone who knew what they were doing.
