KORG kpr-77 PROGRAMMING PROBLEM internal battery???

hi ive got a korg KPR-77 and iam having trouble programing it .I can get it to program a patern for one bar but then it plays the pattern once and then chucks out random patterns it does this every time i stat the sequence again palys the programed pattern once then chucks out random shit after palying one bar ??? ive had alook inside to find an internal battery but cant see one its very tight in there and will need a serious undooing !! has any body had this problem or know were if any internal battery is ???

Surely the memory is backed up by the normal AA batteries you can use to power the thing isn't it?

I had a similar problem - but overcome it by wiping each pattern and reseting the metronome and measure.  Then  I cleared all instruments and it worked.  I have connected an external battery pack as I don't want any battery leakage.  The patterns have remained.

I also discovered the kpr-77 service manual somewhere on this site too

cheers dave yeh i cleared every pattern to solve the matter but i have had the unit open for 6months and i cant quite remember how it all goes back together  ::)
