i cut my wrist on the internal frame of an Akai S01 only yesterday, a tiny bit deeper and i would have been spraying blood eveywhere. Some of the internal edges are savagely sharp.

Yeah the chassis on the the s01 are solid would imagine could give a nasty cut, good you avoided the spraying blood scenario.  I almost had a fatality a few weeks ago whilst trying to dislodge a piece of hot glue with (probably the sharpest set of scissors about as i found) scissors, they slipped and i stabbed myself right at the base of my thumb just missed the spraying blood scenario as well but it bled for about an hour, very lucky.  Dropped my soldering iron the other day and instinctivly caught it, by the barrel! and now have a blister an inch long on my thumb
dangerous work this (well if your a clumsy idiot like me).......................whats the average life expectancy of a circuit bender?

Do not worry, look at Reed Ghazala  ;D
From the looks of it he must be at least 100 years old, so you're fine!

One other point to watch out for is the fumes from soldering can trigger asthma attacks in people.
