ah diodes again, good job ive ordered a load!  I suppose if I pop in a toggle after the diodes (or if this still interferes with signal a 4 pole toggle before the diodes)  I could stop it effecting the voice envelope in normal use...

Once again I need to do some experiment and stop speculating. 
Right, not a peep out of me till I have something to report!
