Thats 47 microHenries which is way to small. You need 47 milliHenries.

You should also pay attention of the physical size of the thing. That one would fit with some effort, but the body is about twice as wide as would be ideal.

i used for now an audio coupling transformer with ~220mH, i had two of them, though only one of them worked on one side of the winding (i used this as a substitute while waiting for the ordered one).

just check http://www.dsmcz.com , either on the contact page or you place an order. the shop owner speaks perfect english and if you ask him for cb-55 parts like gert from trencin has ordered, he will give you my BOM.

mind, my bom is not perfect and parts were sourced by eye, try to avoid the russian half watt gray resistors, their casing is so huge that it barely fits the through hole spacing, better put standard "brown" resistors there.

Out of curiosity, what role does the inductor play in the sound ?
I enjoy very much equalizers with inductors, and they are also used in wah pedals... So i am wondering what kind of thing they do in the DR55...
Also, i have a spare 33mH inductor (and didn't receive my 47mH) : can i safely use it without taking the risk to harm some other component ? What would a lower value do ?

So I bought this this one, it has one long leg one short leg, but no indication on the board for positive and negative.  I'm thinking it does not matter which way it's supposed to go, but I wanted to make sure.

To be honest i have no idea why one leg would be longer than the other as its just a coil of wire. It doesn't have a polarity as far as i'm aware.
I guess it might be possible to think up some esoteric reason why it might matter in certain situations, but not in this context.

Maybe is something to do with a magnetic field.....
