Synare/Coron Audio Trigger

Hi

The Synare Sensor is a drum synthesizer very similar to the Coron DS7. It is designed to be attached to the rim of a drum and is triggered by vibrations picked up by a piezo sensor.

How can it be modded to accept an audio input via 1/4" TRS jack so that it can be used with a sequencer (e.g. a snare sample played in to the Synare/Coron from a sequencer triggers the synth drum sound as the output)?
