Yes I love that too! I got it at a gadget shop here in stockholm but I think you can find it elsewhere too. And I guess you can do similar things to just about any of those keychains. Here's a link to where you can buy them. http://www.clickshop.com/product/3739/punchline-keychain/punchk/

kitsophrenik

sound! ill have a look about then., i tried something very similar with a cartman keychain thingy but i fried it! meh!

In Sweden they only selleri 470k too, but... Same same. The 500's I hade I've desoldered from some other old thing... I think. Let me know how it goes.

Circuitbenders

Theres been some discussion of this before. Try testing a 500K with a meter, i bet its more like 470K. Unless you spend a lot more money on precision pots the tolerances are pretty wide.
i am not paid to listen to this drivel, you are a terminal fool

strssmmnt

That's probably true Obi Wan!  ;) I've never noticed any difference on my "junk builds" anyway.

kitsophrenik

yeah... i tried just banging some random sizes of resistors in there with the pots...

worked on me dub siren...

Yeah, if you can't find the exact value, use the closest you can get.  It probably won't matter, and in any case I thought circuit-bending was supposed to be anti-theory and imprecise?
If at first you don't succeed, stick it through a fuzzbox.
