I want to bend a Hing Hon EK-001 but can't find any on eBay. Where are they usually?

Also, are there any guides on how to bend it?
Thanks.

Hi

I have a few, you can have 1 if you want.  To be honest i haven't checked any of them to see if they work as i bought them a while back.  They are just sitting gathering dust, so send me an email if you want my email is on my profile.  You can have it for nothing, i have too much stuff anyway and it is almost christmas after all  ;)

1) You would need to pay the postage (which wouldn't be much as they are small)
2) Its not to be bend and put on sleazebay, its for your use only!
3) Upload photos and soundclips on this site once you have modded it so i can see your good work

if you tick the above boxes its as good as yours (i will need to check it works though), just email me

hehe they would be doing me a favour clearing all this shite out of my house, maybe i should let them do a mass house clearance!  i like your recordon though, v retro cool, though i'm sure its probably piled up with 50 other odd looking "artifacts" if its anything like my cave.  To be honest Circuit bending was cheap when i got into it probably like yourself Paul, just trying to give something back to someone starting out because prices are so unrealistic now  :'(

If it's a mass clearance you want, PM me some of the stuff you want to shift, I always like gathering bits and bobs :P

Oh yeah.. What do you have that needs to go ?

I sent you an e-mail! I'm sure I'm not the only one!

there are a couple of things to remember about these keyboards...

• they might not have the words "hing hon" on the description if buying on ebay. mine was listed as a yamaha...

• they are not all made equally. i saw some photos of the insides, and mine is different. no IC, a bouquet of transistors, caps, resistors, diodes...there is a black blob under which flows to the keyset. so i assume it controls that.

Good idea, maybe even trading stuff or if people actually are tripping over things in their house, and some people might be broke and barely able to buy the components never mind pay £50 for a 50p keyboard it only seems fair to spread the stuff as long as folks dont bend it and fire it on ebay.  I'm not saying i'm gonna stick up a list of 50 keyboards and say help yourself, but if i get sick of tripping over something and someone else can use it then what the hell i'm not driven solely by the need for cash.  I've always felt circuit bending is about the community and helping each other there needs to be more good deeds before ebay kills circuit bending off because no one can afford to do it, i dont buy into the scat world of circuit bending where everything is driven by profit.

there is a good community on this site that is why i am helping people here.  Paul you manage to combine running a business and helping people and have a good balance, scat could learn something from you, if only he wasn't so ignorant and full of his own hype (oh yeah and banned ;D)

I like that idea.  I've got an unbent PSS-140 somewhere that I intended to do about 3 years ago but never got round to.  Only problem is theres a bit of a bump in the plastic on the front where I used a screw that was too long when putting it back together after it had been in bits for about a year.  I'd forgotten where everything went.  It's of little use to me now but maybe it'd be swap-worthy :P

I need more keyboards for bending. I may email you sometime in the near future if you have enough you don't want/need. . .if that's cool with you, I mean.
