Hi I have a midi din sync chip which  I plan to use on my dr110 it requires 5v to power it can it be powered from the midi bus ? Be Cool if it can

As far as i know there aren't actually any set standards for power on the midi bus so i'd be willing to bet it'd be pretty much pot luck if it'd work.

If you're using it with a DR110 as you said in your other thread, why not just source 5v from the power rail for the logic chips on the DR110 synth board?
i am not paid to listen to this drivel, you are a terminal fool

thats what i was doing with the din sync mod but i thought it would be neat if it was bus powered so it wasnt on when it wasnt being used
