Link Yamaha PSS 270 and PSS 570 together? (data lines)

Hi guys, I have a Yamaha PSS570 and PSS270, and I know they both work with the data line cut mod but I haven't done it. My question is, could I get good results if I crossed over the 8 data streams from one keyboard to the other?

For example:

8 data lines from 570 CPU into the sound chip of the 270 and vice versa?

Have you done anything similar? I'd need to deeply disassemble both keyboards to do this, I don't wanna make a mess of both keyboards just to find out it doesn't work  what kind of results should I expect?

Connect the common grounds between them, to keep things nice and safe.

i did it with the pss270 in conjunction with several other keyboards, i made the data cut mod in a patchbay. it is unpredictable fun.
maybe a resistor in the link(s) to be save
