Not shure if this qualify as a Circuit bending project so if you want to move it then no problem ... i am taking some ideas for other peoples mods 1 Octave Keyboard but i am doing 2 Octave Keyboard also taking some ones mods from this site http://www.jacobwatters.com/monotron-mod.php
ok i can tell what you are think can we have one project done and dusted please lol thats not how i work i noaml stop a project so i can have final thoughs how it's finished. :) so far its only been a week but i have made the case i have converted the diode matrix keyboard from 2 Octave midi controller that had some problems with keys i am using resistors and i am adding a switch to so i can jump up to 6 Octave.. here some pictures only been on it a weeks so not much done so far ..

the wood case box lol is made out of oak flooring well tongue and groove.

Circuilt boards for the resistors and key switches

keyboard pcb switches and rsistors made still think i should have used metal film resistor ???

hope this  gives  you some idae how it will look in the end

to recap on required voltage for the MonoTron:

i've heard it has a noisy output due to the low voltage (3v?)

not sure i understood your references to 9v adapter and 5v supply.
could you clarify? are you getting a clean or noisy output,

your project looks stunning, very nice! i'd like one to slave to my x0x!
(is it v/oct or v/hz?)
