Capacitor replacements?

Hi all...

I screwed up when ordering a couple of the film caps and ended up with 10mm pitch leg caps for the 5.6nF C27 and 2.7nF C15...

I'm thinking I could *probably* just stick in a 4.7 and a 2.2 instead - or larger values? But I thought it worth asking those who know more than me beforehand! I guess I can always try it out and replace later if it all goes to hell...

Any advice?

Cheers!

well i'm not sure if there would really be any noticeable difference, although the Rimshot might be  a tiny bit more clicky with C15 smaller, and the frequency response of the snare noise might be infinitesimally changed with a smaller C27.

It'll certainly still work though, regardless of any minute differences.

Great - thanks..

I've was thinking of getting somethinng on perfboard of close to the right values with a 10n->47n->(15n/3.3n parallel) for the 5.7, and 15n->4.7n->10n for 2.7, run them off board with wire and stick them to the side of the case somewhere. They should in theory come out about 5.68 and 2.64. But that seems like an arse-about.

So I've stuck a 4.7n + 1n together at the legs for a 5.7n, and a 1.5n + 1n for a 2.5n.

Should get close enough. If they don't work I'll just go for lower values!

Cheers. Appreciate the help.

Can you please tell me what type of capacitors you are using and with which you are going to replace?
Also i want to see the schematic of your circuit in which you are using your circuit?
Also share the other hardware components details.

Thats that weird spam where someone actually goes to the effort of signing up to make a vaguely relevant post, and then coming back 2 weeks later to edit their post and put in a spam link.

I've adjusted the link to something more appropriate  :)
