I can get a VSS-100 but the general concensus seems to be that it can't be bent like the VSS-30 or the VSS-200... does anyone know anyhting more specific about it?

Cheers  :)

I didn't have any luck with the VSS-100 but that doesn't mean it can't be bent. Apart from the SK-5 it seems to be very tricky if not impossible to bend machines that address the RAM in sections. The VSS-100 can hold four samples at once mapped to different keyboard areas so i assume the RAM is addressed in four blocks.

The Casio SK-60 does the same thing but on that machine you can bend it to splice sections of samples into each other at random but i couldn't find a way to do that on the VSS-100
i am not paid to listen to this drivel, you are a terminal fool

Thanks again for the info. I let it found an SK-1 in really good condition!
Will be more practical to take to gigs anyway  :)
