since i can't get it sold, i was thinking to bent some of the circuits 8)
i don't have it here at the moment, can't take pictures.but i tought it might have potention,
as it is a combination of fm and pcm samples... i had good experience with this combination :P
but it is a nice synth and i would hate to kill it..
any experience / advice on the sy22 ?

there is a whole heap of madness going on in the tg33, you can bend of 3 diff chips, great machine!

nochtanseenspecht

3 chips? that is good news thanx
finish some other things first and then see what s going on inside

guess will be killer machine when bended, with all the lfo's enveloppes etc

electoyd

1 of the chips can be mixed with the other 2, the other 2 chips cannot be mixed with each other only the first chip.  That sounds more complicated than it should!  hope it makes sense

nochtanseenspecht

ah ok.. do you happen to know wich can not be shorted? i would hat to kill it  :-\

electoyd

when I say the 2 secondary chips cannot be shorted as far as I remember they just dont sound good unless you short them to one of the pins on the first chip..  This is a big circuit board in the tg33, there is a big28/32pin chip at the top that you can short the pins and get some nice effects but there is two other big chips further down that you have to short against the first chip.  As far as I remember there is several pins on each of the secondary chips that don't integrate well with the first one but it is just trial and error.  Some pin combo's are really loud and aggressive and unusable, but there is alot of nice stuff going on in there as well.

One thing i would say is that there is not much room for adding mods on to the case, I had to do a breakout box.

ok nice, thanks a lot :)
soon  will open her up and experiment with the ic's
i think about a fixed break out box on top of the backside
