Ok, hardly bargain of the century but i just won a vl1 for less than a tenner on ebay. Normaly i don't bother with them as people bid them up to £30+ at times. But i bent one last week and had a handy c64 alike sounding (something i seem unable to resist trying on anything these days) version on the go until i slipped with the iron doing the last two hookups, soldered two points together that i shouldn't have and didn't unplug it in time. No more drums for vl1.

Bugger :(

A bunch of assorted stuff yesterday, but the one I'm wanting to ask about is the Commodore 16 I got for $10. I figured I'd just put it up on eBay. It's in it's box with EVERYTHING, including a tutorial cartridge. Anyone with an experience on these? I know almost nothing about it.

A friend had one way back. I don't know a whole lot about them other than it was a very bizarre move on the part of commodore. From the little i saw of it running and the lack of support it recieved i could only gather that it was inferior in a lot of ways to the c64. Although having just read this it would seem this isn't necessarily the case.

I always remember thinking of it as having a more vic20 feel to it than a successor to the c64. This was probably down to the fact it had no sid audio which was half the reason a fair few games sold as well as they did. Stick a decent hubbard sound track on even the dullest of games and it became worth playing through to the end.

Yesterday
sk-1 for $2.99 CDN

Sunday Last Week
sk-10 for $2.99 CDN

I cant believe they charge so little for these keyboards at the thrift store I go to. They charge up to 9 dollars for shitty toy keyboards. I think they determine the price based on size, which makes me laugh. If only they knew how much you can get on ebay for these.

Psycho:Active

2 Casio SA-67 - £3
Suitable Casio transformer (I was impressed with my find, but am hesitant about bending with it) - 50p
Casio pt-10 - 25p
Random toy keyboard with Fur Elise as the only stored track - 25p

4 keyboards and a transformer, total, £4

i've seen that photo of your studio surely you've got enough stuff! v.impressive though, take it plugs are an issue ;)............

Circuitbenders

I always say that while its still possible to actually stand up in your studio then you just don't have enough gear   :P

Actually i'm kind of grateful i don't have a dumpster full of music gear anywhere nearby, i have enough difficulty maneuvering past the piles of dead electronics in the hallway as it is  :D
